Chase Cricket, a renowned manufacturer of high-quality English cricket bats, approached us with a requirement for expansion due to their growing business needs. The company, based in Hampshire, has earned a reputation for producing some of the finest handcrafted cricket bats in the country, catering to both professional cricketers and enthusiasts alike. As their demand increased, so did their space requirements, leading them to acquire an adjoining building for additional production and storage space.
This project came through a personal connection between our team and Daniel Swaine, the founder of Chase Cricket, along with a shared passion for the sport. My son, being a keen Chase Cricket player, facilitated an introduction, and the relationship naturally developed into this business collaboration.
Chase Cricket’s expansion required the installation of a mezzanine floor in their newly acquired building. The primary purpose of the mezzanine was to create additional storage space on the upper level while maximising the use of the ground floor for bat production. The challenge was to design and install a functional, durable, and aesthetically pleasing mezzanine floor that would align with Chase Cricket’s operational needs and fit within the space constraints of the building.
Our team was tasked with:

The project was successfully completed within the specified time frame of one week, with minimal disruption to Chase Cricket’s daily operations. The design was meticulously planned to ensure that the mezzanine floor would not only meet the client’s immediate storage needs but also provide flexibility for future growth.
Upper Level (Mezzanine): The mezzanine area was designed for heavy-duty storage, allowing Chase Cricket to store materials and finished products. The space was optimised to hold inventory securely and efficiently.
Ground Level: The area beneath the mezzanine was tailored for Chase Cricket’s production activities, specifically bat manufacturing. It was important that the layout facilitated the easy movement of materials and equipment during production without obstructing operations.
The project was delivered on time and within budget, ensuring that the client could quickly utilise the new space to keep up with increasing demand for their products.

Daniel Swaine, the owner of Chase Cricket, expressed his satisfaction with the work completed. He highlighted our efficiency, professionalism, and ability to meet the project’s strict deadline without compromising on quality. His feedback reflected his appreciation for how the mezzanine floor has enhanced their operational capacity, allowing the business to continue its growth trajectory.
“Working with the team was an absolute pleasure. Their understanding of our requirements and the seamless installation process made the expansion project much smoother than we anticipated. The new mezzanine floor has given us the much-needed space to continue growing our business. We would happily work with them again for future projects.”
