AMETEK CTS UK, a leading company in manufacturing and technology, faced significant challenges with their previous facility in Ryde, Isle of Wight. The existing premises were becoming unsuitable for their growing business needs, with limited space, outdated infrastructure, and an environment that was no longer aligned with modern manufacturing standards. These issues not only affected productivity but also posed challenges in attracting potential clients and talented staff.

AMETEK CTS UK decided to relocate to facilitate business expansion, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the company’s image. The goal was to create a state-of-the-art facility that could accommodate their evolving business, while also providing a welcoming and functional environment for both employees and clients.

The Challenge

AMETEK CTS key requirements included:

Increased Space: Their growing operations and sales demanded more room for both production and administrative activities.

Modern Manufacturing Standards: The previous facility had fallen behind in meeting industry standards, leading to inefficiencies.

Employee and Client Appeal: The company needed a modern, attractive workplace that would impress potential clients and help recruit new talent.

Multi-functional Spaces: The new facility required distinct areas for offices, manufacturing, testing, storage, and customer engagement, all integrated seamlessly.

Solution Provided by Spaceway:

Our expertise in designing and fitting out business spaces, was tasked with delivering a bespoke solution that would address AMETEK CTS’s needs. The project involved:

Mezzanine Floor Installation: A tailored mezzanine floor was designed to maximise the vertical space in the new headquarters, providing additional room for production and storage without increasing the building’s footprint.

Office Fit-Out: The offices were fitted out with modern furnishings and layouts, ensuring the workspaces were functional, aesthetically appealing, and conducive to collaboration. This included the installation of IT infrastructure, lighting, and ergonomic workstations.

Canteen and Break Areas: To enhance employee welfare and attract new staff, a fully equipped canteen and recreational area were designed. These spaces were modern and comfortable, creating a welcoming environment for employees to relax during breaks.

Boardroom and Client Spaces: The boardroom and client meeting spaces were designed with a high-end finish to create a professional and impressive setting for hosting meetings with potential clients and stakeholders. Production and Storage Spaces: The production area was designed with the latest manufacturing standards in mind. This included clear workflows, optimised space utilisation, and dedicated storage areas, ensuring efficiency and safety in day-to-day operations.
