December 20, 2021Spaceway got up close to a dragon when it was invited to meet Theo Paphitis at an event for Small Business Sunday (SBS) winners.
The ex-dragon, whose businesses include Rymans, Robert Dyas and Boux Avenue, spoke to Spaceway director Dominic O’Brien at the event in Birmingham.
SBS is a community of small businesses who have all won Theo’s weekly Twitter competition, and the winners’ event featured talks, networking and a question time panel – as well as a chance to get a photo taken with the businessman.
Dominic said: “It was fantastic to be able to meet Theo in person and hear what he has to say. I’m delighted that he knew about Spaceway’s business when we were introduced, and took a real interest in what we’re about.
“Each talk was full of useful information for us as a business, and the panel session gave us a lot to think about.
“The SBS community is a wonderful group of small businesses, and it was inspiring to see so many people like us at the event. We’re very proud to be included among the SBS winners, and are looking forward to getting very involved with the group.”
Spaceway won Theo’s SBS competition in December with the tweet: “Our mezzanine floors maximise your existing warehouse, office or retail space quickly, easily and at a great price. #SBS”. The tweet was chosen the next day by Theo, as one of six from over 500.
