About this Project

A retail styled mezzanine floor solution was the order of the day when Zara Clothing were looking to increase retail space at their Reading store.

Project summary

Following successful contracts carried out for other units at Reading’s famous Oracle Shopping Centre, Spaceway was approached by the Project Managers, to help provide an additional sales area, in excess of 400 meters square, for distinctive Spanish clothing chain, Zara.

A Flooritall mezzanine floor on the second level provided a fast-track solution to extending the shop, and to fit in with the overall design concept.

As with the other units at the newly built Oracle shopping complex, Spaceway had to contend with large steel beams and night-time working.

With Spaceway able to design and build there mezzanine floor within four weeks of the order being placed, the Zara store was ready in time for its scheduled opening date.
