About the project

Coopervision is one of the largest manufacturers of contact lenses in the world. a multi-billion dollar turnover and with production facilities worldwide, the chandlers ford campus produces test runs, specials, and one off batches as well as rigorous testing of products prior to them being approved and ready for mass production.

The facility is a vital part of the validation process before taking products to the market. In fact, so highly valued is the work of the pilot facility it is one of the highest-performing production facilities within the whole group.

The Details

Spaceway were called in as they had previously carried out a number of smaller projects very successfully for the pilot facility team. When this much larger project was required to be delivered in a very tight timescale Spaceway stepped up to provide a full design and build service.

The fast track solution enabled deadlines to be met and minimise production downtime.

As a one-stop shop including design it provided confidence in Spaceway that they could successfully deliver all the ideas and visions that the team required.
