About the project
Open plan offices and an extensive office fit out were designed and built by Spaceway when Cookson the Woking based electronics giant called for help.
A new facility
When Cookson Electronics UK decided to close its four sites and centralise the company’s 120 staff in a new facility in Sheerwater, the company wanted to ensure that that its workforce had a practical and aesthetic environment in which to work. The answer came through Spaceway’s Furniture Division.
The project involved extensive consultation with Cookson and a trip to Italy with Project Manager Richard De Crausaz to select the furniture range recommended by Spaceway.
Spaceway supplied a wide range of Babini furniture including storage walls, operator systems and executive and boardroom configurations. The use of Land Legs assured easy cable fitting. The workstations were grouped in clusters of four, separated by glass satined screens to ensure privacy.
Managers and Executive offices was created using Tenika partition systems in both solid and satin glass. Storage walls completed the fitout providing storage space and space division. Babini Studio range in walnut and juniper finishes was used to furnish the executive offices. Rectangle, oval and trapezoidal shape were specified too.
