Wide aisle pallet racking is the most widely used system for storing palletised unit loads.
Within the rack each pallet is individually supported and independently accessible. Pallet racking arranged in a wide aisle pattern, a minimum of 2.5 metres wide aisles, requires no specialised handling equipment. A standard counter balance truck can be used in aisles 3.5 to four metres wide. Reach trucks can work in aisles only 2.5 metres wide. The limitation of using standard lift trucks is that the racking system's height is restricted to the maximum lift height of the trucks.

Pallet racking arranged in this way gives high quality storage but may only utilise 40% of the available floor space, the rest being aisles. However, fast throughput and ease of loading and unloading make this type of storage extremely popular.

By allowing fork lift trucks to operate in aisles of up to half the width required in conventional adjustable beam pallet racking, narrow aisle racking solutions make excellent use of floor space and maximises the height at which goods can be stacked.
Using specialised lift trucks in either ‘articulated’ or 'man-down' or 'man_up' variants, narrow aisle racking is precision designed for safe, efficient load handling within the tight confines of these space-efficient aisles.

Articulated trucks work in aisle of as little as 1750mm without having the need for any guidance. Aisles of less than that are fitted with guidance rails or wires at floor level, these specialist ‘man up’ or ‘man down’ trucks are precisely guided into position, thereby improving safety, whilst minimising the incidence of accidental damage to racking and improving the speed and accuracy of load handling

Double deep racking is created by placing two double sided runs together. Pallets are stored two deep and are accessed using special trucks with pantograph or telescopic forks.

To compliment your warehouse racking and help identify your stored pallets, we are able to supply a range of warehouse labelling and identification products. These include: magnetic and self adhesive label holders and ticket holders, run and aisle markers and load signs to name just a few. For the protection from falling goods and collapsed pallets we offer a range of anti-collapse mesh. This locates on to the rear of the racking and protects personnel working below.
